It’s been a big few weeks at Purple Sky Productions. We’ve had everything from weddings and parties, through to some corporate events, band gigs and installations. It’s been non stop but that’s exactly how we like things around here.
We’re in full on preparation mode for this weekend’s wedding. As soon as the marquee goes up on Thursday, the fun part of turning it into a beautiful reception venue begins. The bride and groom have planned the whole mountains wedding from their home on the Gold Coast, which is no mean feat. They have left no stone unturned. It’s going to be a very exciting and fun day.
We’ve had a lot of new stock come in this week too, both decor and lighting. Red carpets, gazebos, lights that imitate the movement of water and fire. Phew…. too much to actually go into. We’ll have photos up by next week. As much as we can’t wait to show our new gear off, making sure everything is ready for the wedding is a priority over the next few days.
We can’t show you what is planned for this weekend of course, but here’s a photo from a few weeks ago at the wedding of Dianne & Shane. They had a lovely garden wedding at their own home. The week before the wedding, the skies opened up for days on end and our hearts were in our mouths, hoping the day would be beautiful. A contingency plan was in place but on the morning of the wedding, blue skies abounded and the day was warm and sunny. The backyard was a sea of pale pink balloons, festoon lighting and smiling people. The happy couple said their vows in the existing gazebo which was draped very simply in white.
I hope you all have a fantastic week.
