Another huge weekend has come and gone at Purple Sky Productions. Last Friday saw us dressing a marquee ready for the wedding of Deb & Dan, the bride and groom we spoke about last week. Although they now live on the Gold Coast, their families still live here in the Blue Mountains so they had the wedding in the backyard of Dan’s family home in Faulconbridge.
Once the marquee went up, the job of making it into a beautiful reception venue started. With about 90 guests attending, we added chair covers, sashes, tablecloths, fairy lights and lots of other finery to turn the backyard into a wedding fit for a king and queen. Even the high chair for a special little guest was decorated with the same sash as the adult’s chairs. A sound system in place for dancing after the formalities and the scene was set.
As the ceremony was also being held in the backyard, we added touches to one of our arches and just before the bride arrived on Saturday afternoon, our new purple carpet was rolled out with heart shaped, white rose petals strewn across it, ready for the bride to walk down the aisle. While we have red and white carpets as well, the bride’s colour choice was purple so we ordered in the purple carpet to match the day. (We are expecting the blue and pink carpets in soon, perfect for theme weddings and special events)
All in all, it was a fantastic day. The ceremony, performed by Tina Marie from Love in the Mountains was beautiful and the reception that followed was a fun filled, slightly crazy affair. Congratulations to Deb & Dan. We wish you a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness. Here are a few photos of the weekend, thanks to Gosh You’re Gorgeous Photography.
